It isn't wise to paint your nails at 8:45PM.
No matter how dry you think they are by 9 o'clock, they aren't. You will wake up to smudged polish and a stained pillowcase. Because you insist on using impossibly dark shades, it's not even 20% cover up-able.
Awesome.
Someone remind me why I didn't just pay a professional?
Damn budget!

Ugh that is the worst! I hate painting my own nails and wish it was in our budget for me to get manis!:)
that sucks. Do you use OPI? It dries faster!
Girl, run, don't walk, to Sally's on your lunch break and by this: http://www.seche.com/products/product-83005.html
It's a total life saver!! You will never smudge your nails again, I promise!
ahhh... try doing them a bit earlier hunnie bunnie! xxxoo
I do mine on right before my commute to work! Its easier to not touch stuff when im driving.
I do the same thing. I always think I can stay up late enough for them to dry but it never happens...
Every time I decide to paint my nails it's right before bed....such a bad idea. :/
Oh yes, I feel your pain! Always underestimate the drying time. I'm bad before bed or before church. Now, how'm I gonna get to church barefooted 'cuase my pedi is still wet?
ive done this!!!! it sucks!! hahaha and mine was because of a budget too! too funny
I hate it when I do that! Fortunately for me, I work in a profession where I can't have my finger nails painted... the chemical we use to clean glassware is essentially nail polish remover!
I feel like DIY manicures are the last frontier for women trying to Do It On Our Own. Sure we might call for take out, pay for others to mix our drinks, but for some reason, being able to do one's nails feels ladylike and necessary.
That being said, we're all thwarted, every single time.
Oh myyyy! I sweeear that happened to me last night! I hate budgets! Professionally done nails are the first to go! Why do they always take sooo much longer to dry when you do them yourself?
Getting in the shower also has disastrous effects!
