And that's me on the left this time--my sweet, sweet, amazing friend who lived down the street from me and is now a teacher. Yesterday, I was driving home from work in a lovely sunny day, sunroof down, music up and I couldn't help but remember the days, ten years ago, when me and the girls pictured above (well, maybe not my sister) would pile into my SUV, open the sunroof, blast the music and just drive.
Of course, no country drive dance party was complete without a 32oz Dr. Pepper and a box of Hot Tamales. The only thing that has changed is that now it's a 32oz Diet Coke.
I loved it. I felt like a kid again.
My time machine works. (apparently, it's a combination of SUVs, sunshine and awesome music). Huh. I should patent this.
(yes, yes, this was in high school when I thought I needed to be blonde. I've obviously gotten over that) (for the most part) (oh, and yes, my hair is curly, I am bff with my flat iron)

Can you imagine if we had known each other then? If we're this bad now.............
Summertime came on the radio today and it was fabulous! BTW I discovered an amazing dallas station 91.7 you can thank me later :)
My goodness you haven't lost your adorableness at all!!!!!!!
Hey you!
You haven't aged a bit, and yet I still like you. Hmm.
And just the thought of driving home in the sunshine blasting Sublime reminds me of home in the best way.
I wonder if a time machine would work for me? I wouldn't mind going back a decade for a few hours to relive some of those crazy college times I had!
We used to do this too!! Only we were drinking Mountain Dew and eating Doritos. :)
Oh goodness, I'd never want to go back! lol
There's no better feeling than driving with the windows down and the sunroof open blasting some good music!
PS- you look adorable blond or brunette, curly or straight. FYI.
Fun! I love these pictures! I think you look great with blonde curly hair - like totally. :) And speaking of time machine, we just got a new radio station here that plays all "Gen X" music - today I hear Bon Jovi, Bone Thugs N Harmony, NKOTB and TLC on my way to work. Talk about a time warp! Love it!
I love how certain songs work as time machines for us:) We need more of those moments in our lives!
Those are great pictures!
And I'm glad you came back to the redheaded side.
We're better.
=)
Cute post! And don't you love those days when you can roll down the windows, turn up the music and just drive?!
