I'm not at my goal weight as previously hoped for by husband's graduation. In fact, I've gained 1.5 lbs since last week--even though I've been running my ass off (literally--8.3 on Saturday, 6.25 this AM).
Sure.
(I don't really want to talk about it. I actually burst into tears on the scale this morning. For real.)
My dogs are at the groomers today. It's raining.
Sure.
Our pool filter broke over the weekend. We were told it would be $100 to fix the broken piece.
$300 later and 2 hours of my husband fighting with it, we think our pool might be swimable by this weekend.
Sure.
My family arrives tomorrow for Graduation Birthday Weekend Extravaganza. My house is a mess.
Sure.
This week is honestly the busiest and most important week of my year. I'll be up at 5:30 AM literally every day until Sunday.
Sure.
Thank goodness Memorial Day is just around the corner.
"Keep calm, and carry on" (and, rely on lots of Diet Coke, obvi).
How do you cope with the stressies??

Booze? No, maybe not. That would probably not help the house get clean or the dogs un-muddy or the scale budge.
Hang in there, it's just one of those days and hopefully it all blows over!
Yikes! Good luck this week.
I deal with stress by keeping off the scale & keeping sweets (low-cal and low-fat as possible/ reasonable) nearby.
awww.... I do the NYT crossword and yoga... online shopping and returning is always my drug of choice though, haha xxooo feel better!!!
Keep running every morning - it will help you stay centered :) When it's time to tackle the house cleaning, turn on some ridiculously fun dance music (I'm a Michael Jackson/Lady Gaga/Britney fan), pour yourself a glass of wine, and the cleaning will go super-fast!
hang in there friend... run in the morniings and drink wine at night.. you are working out and relieving your stress:) good luck! I know the week will go great!
my guess is the 1.5 lbs is MUSCLE. You go girl. Tone those muscles. Run run run.
I always end up cutting some stuff from my "to do" list - extraneous stuff that woudln't really matter since only I would notice. It makes me priortize the items that NEED to be done and cross some things off that I can do without (and gives me a false sense of accomplishment too!). Good luck!
I cope with stress...by Dove or Godiva chocolate. ;-)
have had a very stressful weekend and I have been trying to focus on little things that make me happy, because if I think about the big picture, and how much sugar I ate all week, how much stuff I have to do, I am going to run for the nearest chocolate bar.
i try to get really really organized. don't get on the scale again! i'm serious. you don't need any added stress right now and if you're running around and just eating when you can you have no idea what your body will do. stay away from the scale.
make a list and try to get it all done. if there are things that don't get done, just don't worry about it. celebrate and have fun anyway!
I will be praying for you and your busy week! Hang in there!
i try to stay really organized when i know stress is on it's way!! and i pray and hoenstly usually i eat :( sad and bad i know!!
you will be great. all that running will pay off girl!! keep it up!
I try to handle the stress by cleaning, watching movies, exercise anything to keep my mind busy & productive!
I'm going to run the 5k portion, but they also have 10k, half marathon and marathon. I want to do the 5k to see how I can handle it then take it from there bc Austin has a good amount of races year round.
Hang in there, sweetie!
Oh, and remember that muscle weighs more than fat and all that jazz...
I stick to a variation on your formula, my friend:
tears + diet coke + exercise + tears + wine + more wine.
Copious amounts of coffee and Post its...that's my secret! hang in there!
Sweet friend, you probably aren't at your ideal weight because you are gaining hard-core muscle from that kick butt running you have been doing! Seriously! I am tres, tres impressed. Keep it up, try not to be discouraged by the scale, and just go with how much better and stronger your body feels overall. Don't stress! I de-stress sometimes by playing shopping roulette: I go to the online shopping site of my choice, fill it with pricey items (read: loubitons) that i don't dare purchase, and then x out of the screen....thrilling huh? I'm such a nerd.
Just wait until you have children. You just described a typical day of a mommy!
cherry coke zero, lots of chocolate, and ice cream. stress doesn't do much for my weight to say the least. :)
Hang in there!
Wine! I'm so sorry about the gain. I gained 2.5 yeasterday and CRIED! This morning down 3...whatev. Good luck this week sweets! :) XOXO
I have a week like this too, good luck friend!! Thank goodness for Memorial Weekend next week!!!
Chocolate, and Dr. Pepper. And some good reality TV shows. That is the story of my life lately, literally. When I'm not taking care of a baby or trying to stop a toddler from crying, those are the things I'm doing.
